What does the content score mean?

Content Score is a number between 1 and 100 that grades content quality and relevancy. The score is a way to grade the Noble content and competitor’s content. This way comparing content to the competitor’s content is easy. We will break down the content scores in Noble.

Main Content’s Score

There is a main content score for a piece of content. This score is calculated from multiple factors. The main score can be found in the second top menu bar next to the keyword. This score is represented by a progress gauge.

Main Score Breakdown

The “Content Score Card” displays information on the breakdown of the main score. The “Content Score Card” also gives advice on how to improve content scores. To view the “Content Score” click on the Main Score gauge.

Details of the “Content Score Card” are as follows:

  • Main Score: The main score is also displayed on the “Content Score Card”.
  • Top Competitor Score: The top competitor score is shown on the “Content Score Card”. Please read the Competitor Content Score section of this article for more information.
  • Average Competitor Score: The average competitor score is shown on the “Content Score Card”. Please read the Competitor Content Score section of this article for more information.
  • Suggestion message: The Suggestion message will give instructions on how you can improve the content score.
  • Words: Word count is calculated into the overall main score of a piece of content.
  • Headers: The number of headers is calculated into the overall main score of a piece of content.
  • Page Title: Whether or NOT the Keyword exists in the page title is calculated into the overall main score.
  • Page URL: Whether or NOT the Keyword exists in the page URL is calculated into the overall main score.

Details icons:

  • Up Arrow: The up arrow icon means the item is over the optimal range of usage.
  • Down Arrow: The down arrow icon means the item is under the optimal range of usage.
  • X: The x icon means the item has not been met at all.
  • Check Mark: The check mark means the item is in the optimal range of usage or met conditions.

Competitor’s Content Score

The competitors that are enabled are scored the same way as the Noble content. This makes it easy to compare content to competitors.

List of Competitor Scores

The list of competitors and their scores can be viewed under “Settings” and then the Competition tab. The Score will be displayed in the list of competitors table. The score will ONLY show if the competitor is enabled. If the competitor is NOT enabled the score will be set to zero.

Top Competitor Score

Noble will show the highest competitor score from the list of enabled competitors. The top competitor score will be displayed to the right of the main score on the main editor page and the Content Score Card.

Avg. Competitor Score

Noble will show the average of all competitor scores from the list of enabled competitors. The avg. competitor score will be displayed to the right of the main score on the main editor page and the Content Score Card.
